Andra M. Wisian has worked in media production for twenty-six years serving as a television journalist, news anchor, producer, writer and executive producer. After covering news for six years at an ABC affiliate in South Texas, Wisian moved into video production in the travel and tourism industry. For three years she served as a producer and writer on location, escorting production crews to destinations across the globe from the Caribbean to Europe to Asia. Her writing and producing was recognized by several video and film festival awards. Wisian also obtained global experience in business development, functioning as an executive producer and a media consultant for three years to travel and tourism clients who sought to promote their destinations to the American market. After settling in San Antonio, Wisian worked as a producer/director for United Services Automobile Association in Media Services, which supports the company-wide effort to serve military members and their families. Several of Wisian’s productions earned noted awards from the communications industry. In 1998 Wisian teamed up with Director Roger Castillo to form Fawn Mountain Creative Media, a creative media and production company. Fawn Mountain was selected as the only Texas company by the University of Vermont’s Office of Health Promotion Research to produce anti-smoking commercials targeted at youth. Wisian sold her interest in Fawn Mountain in 2001 and established Manahuilla Media Company, a boutique-advertising agency based in the Texas Hill Country. Manahuilla offers comprehensive advertising services including TV spot & video production, web design, brochures and print ads as well as logos and graphic design.
